Sales development representative (SDR)

Vertica CRM is a full-spectrum technology and software development company serving niche industries. Our flagship product is Business Brokers CRM, an industry specific tailored CRM designed to be flexible and adaptable to the business methodologies of any Business Brokerage company internationally.

Following a round of customer feedback during its Early Adopter Program, Vertica CRM is now available as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) application. Given its flexibility and functionality, broad demand for the product across a wide variety of industry verticals is anticipated, beginning with the Business Brokerage, Nonprofit and Education sectors and extending into other verticals as the sales team grows.

You will be working with an experienced team of software developers and sales team with industry specific subject matter experts as we grow a significant user base.

The role of a sales development representative (SDR) is twofold: inbound and outbound. Inbound refers to the potential customers who have engaged with your company through its marketing channels. Outbound is you reaching out to potential customers that have never engaged with the company’s product or services, i.e. cold prospecting.

 

The SDR role consists of lots of question asking and providing information. The role is similar to consulting where you understand what the business is currently doing; seeing if the product or service provided is a good fit for the business; and teaching them how it can help improve their business.

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generates new convertible leads and appointments with prospects through telemarketing, emailing and building relationships
  • Works closely with Marketing and Business Development Executives to qualify prospects, coordinate meetings, and drive new opportunities
  • Follows disciplined process to follow-up on email marketing campaigns, webinars and other marketing and sales activities
  • Clearly and effectively communicates the Vertica CRM brand and services by phone, email and through social media
  • Strives to meet or exceed activity/prospecting goals on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Assists in acquisition, analysis and utilization of prospect and customer data
  • Manages data for accounts, contacts, leads and opportunities in CRM system
  • Works closely with designated partners to qualify leads
  • Set up appointments for account executives to close the deal. The KPI (Key-performance-indicator) for this role is how many qualified opportunities you bring in monthly.
  • Learn about the sales process, company, product, industry, competitors, customer stories, and compelling events (things that happen in the customers world that may prompt them to buy).

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors or equivalent experience strongly preferred
  • Two years of sales experience or equivalent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, CRM systems and Internet Browser
  • Technology services industry sales experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in CRM systems to manage prospect and Client data
